Thanks for great day tour 1 June 2011
Thank you for a splendid tour (Wicklow Adventure Wednesday 1 June). Our tour guide Martin was excellent and his witty craic made the day. We look forward to coming back to Ireland one day and would not hesitate to recommend your tours. Keep up the good work, and if Martin ever comes over to Sunderland I will buy him a pint of Guiness in one of our Irish bar Paddywhacks. I will guarantee it will be cheaper but perhaps not as nice!.

best wishes

Where safety belts have been fitted they must be worn
Children under 3 years of age must not travel in a car or goods vehicle (other than a taxi) unless restrained in the correct child seat
Children aged 3 years or over who are under 150cms in height and weighing less than 36 kilograms (i.e. generally children up to 11/12 years old) must use the correct child seat, booster seat or booster cushion when travelling in cars or goods vehicles
Children over 3 years of age must travel in a rear seat in vehicles not fitted with safety belts
Rearward-facing child car seats must NEVER be used in the front passenger seat of cars with an active airbag

Dear Damian!
First of all excuse my bad English. We drove with you to Glendalough and Russbourough house and back in Austria we often talk about our perfekt busride through the Russbourough gate. I shot a photo of this

Wicklow Mountains glendalough tour Alli Reid
Wicklow Mountain Adventure Tour! If you have seen Braveheart (which I haven't) or PS I Love You (which I have and cried) the mountains we visited were the filming sites of many scenes in these movies and are the home of a national park--absolutely gorgeous. Martin, our bus driver, was hilarious. Unfortunately no one on our bus except for the three of us had a sense of humor. On the way to the mountains we stopped at the harbor and along the countryside. There was a lake, they call it the Guinness Lake, that looks black because of the peat that grows in the mountain ranges. Everything was unreal--rolling green valley after valley, lined with sheep and stone walls. I had an urge to find the ancestors, but realistically that's another trip.

We got out in Glendalough (don't quote me on that spelling) and could go into an Irish pub for lunch. This was the only Irish food we ate but it was delicious. Aubrey and I had the hamburger steak on top of mashed potatoes with carrots, peas, french fries and gravy and Karen had the Guinness stew. Everything was fantastic and it was such a cold, windy and a little bit rainy day that it was the perfect meal. After lunch we walked into the old ruins and saw Celtic crosses in the graveyards. They were beautiful although that may be a little morbid. Then, we took a walk through the rain into the national park that brought us to the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. Everything was so serene and I have never breathed such fresh air. On the way home Martin played some Irish music and pointed out the famous colored doors of Dublin. Apparently, back in the day instead of house numbers/addresses people just painted their doors different colors and associated a color of door with a family. Martin said that when men got too drunk and made their wives unhappy, their wives would repaint the doors once they'd gone out for the night and they would be too drunk to find their way home again.
Thanks for a great day tour to wicklow
Hi- we enjoyed every minute of the trip with you - the comments, stories and all around conversation by our guide were remarkable, funny and charming. we did enjoy the walking tour at the abbey ruins and the vistas and lakes- we will recommend you to our friends and relatives- if you knew them as well as we do you might not be so happy to see them but never the less we'll tell everybody- cheers Dot and Jerry Lemmon

Day Tours Unplugged

Macht weiter so. Grüße aus München. Sabine
Glendalough Wicklow bus tour from Dublin
Notre guide était très dynamique ! Il faisait des commentaires intéressants et nous a fait écouter de la musique irlandaise ! Le trajet en car était très bien, le bus était confortable, nous avons admiré des paysages magnifiques ! C'était une très bonne journée !
Wicklow Glendalough Day tour from dublin

Wicklow Glendalough tour from Dublin 30 December 2009 - Belgium
Hello Dublin!
I can only agree with my friend here. The tour was very well organised and you've showen us some amazing places. And indeed, Damian is a fantastic guide, best one I ever had until now on a tour like that! Please send him many greetings from Belgium.
I only had 3 hours of sleep that Monday (some local friends showed us Dublin's nightlife), still I haven't thought 1 moment about sleeping during the Wicklow tour, I guess that says enough.:-)

And of course we enjoyed the whiskey shot.:-)
I've already recommanded the tour to someone who was interested in going to Dublin. And I will keep on doing that 'cause I think too many tourists stay only in the city while there are some fantastic places around Dublin city. That's what makes Dublin so great.
My friend and I will surely come back to Dublin and as we want to discover more of your beautiful isle, there might be a chance we book another tour at your company.

The fact that you're following this up by sending this e-mail is also wonderful.
So, nothing but good comments and I will post them on your website as well.

You'll find the other Paddy-photo in the attachement. Not my best one after such a short night ;-) but loads of fun!

Cheers from Belgium and keep up the good work!

Great Wicklow Day Tour 30 December 2009 .. Belgium
Good morning Dublin,
We sure had a splendid time with you guys. The tour was amazing. We knew Ireland is a beautiful country and you've shown a part of it to us.
Damian as a guide is simply fantastic. The explanation, the history, the tips, timing, everything. We surely have chosen the right company for that tour and will recommended to anyone coming to Dublin.

You'll find with tis mail already one of the pictures promised. The other one will be sent by my friend.

Happy new year to you all !

Day tour from Dublin 14 December 2009 - Malta
The Tour was good value for money in the sense that it is true that you get out in the countryside away from the hussle and busstle .
The mountains are not that spectecular but they offer a different scenario and its a good relaxing day . Giving something as complimentary is always nice .
But the highlight of the Tour was definately Martin who was quite knowledgable on the area and the Irish history cracking some jokes on the way . A possible improvement on this Tour is perhaps more stops on the coast as there is ample time to roam the area.

Well done to a good tour . We recommend it .

Thoroughly enjoyed Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough Day Tour 7 December 2009
Our experience with the Wicklow Tour, we thoroughly enjoyed it and Damian was a knowledgeable and gracious host. We had wanted to take both tours but our schedule did not permit and it was hard to decide which one to take. It is hard to say which I enjoyed the most, the Glenmacnass Waterfall and valley or the Glendalough cemetery and the narrative history of the buildings. Both were memorable experiences. And yes, the shot of Paddy Whiskey was a nice end to the day.

Appreciation of recent tour

Comments: My daughter and I took a recent tour to Wicklow with your company and we would like to comment on how much we enjoyed our day out. Our driver, Martin, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and entertaining. We felt very safe with him as our driver. The coach was very comfortable and we made just the right amount of stops to enable us to stretch our legs. The scenery was beautiful and the last stop at Glendalough was unforgettable. We would recommend this tour to anyone and would like to thank you for looking after us so well. Yours sincerely, Mary and Amina Hachemi.(UK).
Wicklow Day tour from Dublin includes Glendalough and Glenmacnass Waterfall
We had a superb experience on our tour with Day Tours Unplugged in Wicklow! Our driver, Martin, was really outstanding. He was funny and very knowledgable about the area, regaling us with stories about anything from Irish history and tradition to rugby and soccer. The bus was modern and comfortable, the stops were well timed and well planned, and the scenery was outstanding. The value for the money was excellent; we saw and learned a LOT in our day with Martin, and the prices were a real bargain, in our opinion. I would strongly recommend Day Tours Unplugged to anyone wanting to get out of Dublin and into the countryside for a day! Thanks, Martin!

Wicklow Day Tour - November 2009
We thouroughly enjoyed our tour of the Wicklow Mountains and surrounding areas. The route, breaks, etc., were great. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others. Our driver, was knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. We appreciated being picked up at the Regency Hotel and the Damien's generous offer to return us to the Regency. The fact that the rugby match at Croke Park was letting out at the same time was not a problem. We were let off only a block or two from the point we would have gotten off the City bus. The taste of Jameson's when we returned to the bus was much appreciated. That was an unexpected surprise and took the chill off a cool, rainy day. Thanks again.

Hey Damian
Here are some pictures of me pouring my own pint at the Man O War pub we stopped at for lunch on the tour back in september. It really was the best guinness i have ever had! Sorry for such a delay in sending it!
We had a great time in the few days we were in Ireland and hope to get back there again soon. Keep up the good work.
